Our advanced facilities feature cutting-edge equipment, such as Swedish granulators and shredders, and New Zealand’s first HDPE Wash Plant. This innovative plant processes up to 100,000 milk bottles and containers daily, converting them into clean, dry, flaked HDPE for top-quality resin production.
Comspec's Swedish shredder and granulator reduce material sizes before extrusion, handling even the largest recycling jobs with a state-of-the-art compactor system.
Comspec's Hino truck regularly collects scrap plastic from local manufacturers, providing bins, weight records, and a Scrap Collection Summary for ease and efficiency.
The extrusion compounding line from Italy was the first of its kind in NZ and gives amazing results, not only in production output, (over 400kgs per hour) but also in producing recycled resin of consistently high quality.
Installed in May 2009, Comspec’s HDPE Wash Plant processes 100,000 bottles daily, converting them into clean, dry, flaked HDPE for customised resin production.
Comspec offers tolling facilities, sells high-quality recycled resins, purchases scrap at competitive prices, and provides collection and delivery services.
We offer a streamlined collection and delivery service, making it easy for local manufacturers to recycle their plastics. Our Italian-made compounding extrusion plant produces over 400kg of recycled resin per hour, ensuring consistent quality. Recycled resins are packed into 25kg or 1-tonne bulk bags, with export and import handling managed under MAF accreditation.
By focusing on local recycling, Comspec reduces the need for overseas processing, supports New Zealand’s recycling goals, and minimises environmental impact through domestic reuse. Our efforts exemplify effective product stewardship and commitment to sustainability.
